Umar Carter

Umar Carter is an experienced Cyber Risk Advisor and Certified Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). In his current role as a Risk Advisor, he advises executives on Zero Trust as well as other Cybersecurity and Business risk domains.

In his previous role as Global Security AVP and Global Head of Cyber Analytics, Umar led the development, coordination, and execution of complex information security programs. He has a deep understanding of risk management processes and has successfully led enterprise-wide risk-based implementation programs. Umar’s passion for talent development is evident in his mentorship and coaching of professionals in the Cyber Security space across various industries.

Umar is well-versed in the latest security technologies and methodologies. He also holds a Cyber Security Policy certification from Harvard Kennedy School. Umar’s global perspective is enriched by his work and living experiences in diverse regions.
