Ridwan leads the technology policy team at Tech Hive Advisory, where he coordinates policy interventions and works closely with the research and regulatory intelligence teams. He advises on policy development and global aspects of data protection laws. He has contributed to a number of legal and data governance frameworks, and he is currently part of a team developing guidelines on deceptive designs for African countries. He researches and has contributed to various global expert sessions on surveillance, deceptive design, privacy and data protection, cybersecurity, digital identity, online child safety, encryption, and anonymity. Ridwan is an International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) Fellow in Information Privacy and is listed as an expert at the Council of Europe's Data Protection Unit.
