Lawrence Cruciana is the founder and President of Corporate Information Technologies, CIT. He studied Electrical Engineering and Physics at the University of North Carolina, Charlotte where he learned the importance of quantifying technical systems. In his current role, he serves as the Cyber Security lead for CITÂ’s regulated business practice. Focusing on smaller organizations that have information-centric risks. LawrenceÂ’s current areas of interest and research involve improving the information security (InfoSec) posture and self-detection capabilities of potential security breaches within smaller fintech/financial organizations. This work has created technology which reduces the time between security breach and detection by over 97%.

With over 20 years of Information Technology experience in regulated businesses, His work has been published in national media including CRN, ChannelPro, MSPMentor, and the Charlotte Business Journal. HeÂ’s been a featured presenter cross-industry conferences including the 2019 RSA conference. Lawrence continues to actively architect next-generation information systems which employ leading security controls in organizations of all sizes. He has designed and implemented hundreds of cybersecurity and cyber-risk programs that incorporate key control frameworks including NIST Cyber Security Framework, and 20 CSC, amongst others. As an active member of the cyber security community, he is engaged in mitigating supply-chain vulnerabilities introduced by Smaller Businesses with specific emphasis on improving the overall security of IT Managed Services organizations (MSPÂ’s). In 2017, the Business Journal recognized Lawrence as one of Charlotte, NCÂ’s 40 under 40 most influential business leaders.
