Beverly R. Allen is an accomplished attorney and highly experienced privacy and compliance leader. Currently, Beverly is the Associate General Counsel, Chief Privacy Officer and Chief Compliance Officer at Inovalon, a leading healthcare data analytics, and technology company where she leads the enterprise-wide regulatory compliance, privacy, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and risk management functions. She also provides legal advice and counsel on a variety of business transactions and strategic initiatives.
Prior to joining Inovalon, Beverly was the Chief Integrity Officer at MedStar Washington Hospital Center, a nationally recognized healthcare provider in Washington, DC. In that capacity, she directed and led the enterprise-wide compliance, privacy, investigative and audit functions. Beverly’s previous work also includes various leadership positions with Booz Allen Hamilton and SRA International. In addition, Beverly served as a Senior Advisor at the Department of Homeland Security and was a Senior Attorney Advisor with the U.S. Department of Education, District of Columbia Enforcement Office.
Beverly received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Virginia, Juris Doctor from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Master of Arts degree from Georgetown University.
