Increasingly, technology is becoming a black box to even the most technically savvy among us. Machine learning and big data analytics are beyond our comprehension by design, while others like some blockchain implementations elude the grasp of all but a select few. And still other applications are protected as trade secrets and we are not even given a chance to examine their inner workings. This session will explore how to navigate the challenges of evaluating and auditing such complex technologies for important attributes such as effectiveness and bias both for your own benefit and the benefit of less technical business and management stakeholders.
