Newly Appointed Election Committee Chair, Keyaan Williams, ISSA Past President, Announces the Call for Nominations for the 2020 ISSA Board of Director’s Election
Service on the International Board of Directors gives you the opportunity to guide the direction of ISSA, raise the professionalism and influence of security practitioners, shape the destiny of the cyber security profession, and enhance your personal leadership skills.
President – [3-year term]
The President shall be executive head of the Association and, when present, shall preside at all meetings of the members of the Association and the Board of Directors. The President shall exercise general supervision of the affairs of the Association and shall be responsible for the enforcement of the Bylaws and the carrying out of all orders and resolutions of the Board of Directors.
Directors – [5 open seats; 3 seats for 3-year terms and 2 seats for special 1-year terms]
Of the top 5 vote-getters for Director, the candidates having the least votes among them will have the special 1-year terms.
Effective with this year's elections (per the Bylaws), all candidates for the role of Director must be an experienced chapter leader, ISSA Fellow, or have comparable experience. All candidates for the role of Officer (President, Vice President, Secretary or Treasurer) must have previously served a full term as an Officer or Director on the ISSA International Board of Directors.
All candidates and campaign activities must follow the election guidelines.

All Nominations must be received by 11:59 p.m. US Eastern Daylight Time on May 24, 2020.
Candidates may be nominated by their chapters or sitting members of the International Board.

At-Large members may submit a petition signed by a minimum of 25 members in good standing in lieu of a chapter nomination.

The following documents must be submitted by each nominee prior to the nomination deadline:
- Nominee biography*
- Statement of goals to achieve in the position
- Statement of Commitment
- Photo, 3”H x 4”W, 300 dpi, jpg or gif only
*Each candidate will be limited to one column space in the ISSA Journal, typically between 375 and 400 words, for their biography and statement of goals.
Identical biographies, goals and photos will be published in all media.
