Laura Harder – Cloud Solutions Architect Technical Strategist, VMware

As an experienced cyber-security leader, Laura Harder has worked across multiple commercial and government agencies in both large and small firms. Laura’s career has spanned 22 years of military service in both the Army and the Air Force Reserves and over 19 years of private sector experience. With a passion for cyber security, Laura has focused her military and civilian career around protecting critical information systems.

Currently she is serving as the Cloud Solutions Technical Strategist at VMware, and prior to this role she has served as a cybersecurity director at multiple companies. An Air Force reservist, she is serves as the Enterprise Services Flight Commander for the 53rd Network Operations Squadron, supporting the Air Force Information.

She has earned the distinction of ISSA Fellow, serves as an ISSA International board of directors, is the president of the Northern Colorado chapter of ISSA, serves on the ISSA Chapter Leader’s Committee and the Women in Security Small Interest group (SIG). She provides insight and experience from multiple roles in information security and cybersecurity projects for government agencies and the private sector.

She holds multiple certifications in Information Technology certifications including the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification, CompTIA Security +, Project +, Scrum Agile Product Owner and Scrum Master Certification, and Microsoft certifications.

John C. Checco is an information security professional providing subject matter expertise across various industries. He currently resides as leader for the CISO Advisory Board on Financial Services for Proofpoint, and President Emeritus of the New York Metro InfraGard Members Alliance (an FBI public/private partnership program). John specializes in the areas of Zero-Trust Strategies, Responsible Automation, Biometric Security and Cyber-Physical coordinated threats on critical infrastructures.

Stephanie Torto – Senior Product Marketing Manager, Proofpoint

Stephanie is a Senior Product Marketing Manager at Proofpoint, where she is responsible for the messaging and positioning of its Insider Threat Management and Endpoint Data Loss Prevention solutions. Before joining Proofpoint, Stephanie held a variety of roles spanning product marketing, client research, and market strategy at IBM. Prior to IBM, Stephanie spent several years as an industry analyst at IDC, providing insights and advice on market trends and industry dynamics to executives at leading technology and IT services firms. Stephanie holds a BA degree from Union College and an MBA from Babson College.

Jonathan Care is a recognised expert in the field of Cybersecurity & Fraud Detection. A former top-rated Gartner analyst, Care was responsible for defining the Fraud market, and leading Gartner’s Insider Threat and Risk research. He regularly advises cybersecurity industry leaders on strategic growth and has worked with key figures in industry and government across the globe. He is a lead contributor for Dark Reading, an industry-defining publication.

Care has testified in court as an expert witness and forensic investigator and is a Fellow of the British Computer Society. He also fuels his creative passion as a composer of film/TV music.
