Security leaders spend years honing their skills in areas of information security in order to become a CISO. Once you do get the job, what should you do? What are your first steps? How do ensure you are a success? This presentation will look at some recommended first steps to get new security leaders off on the right foot.

Presenter

Alex Wood – CISO, Pulte Group

Alex has more than 18 years of experience in Information Security and more than 22 year years in IT. Alex has managed security programs and services at several major companies in different verticals. In addition to his day job, Alex is serving a two-year term as a Director on the International Board of ISSA and is Past-President of the ISSA Denver Chapter. Alex received a BA from Grinnell College in Grinnell, IA and a MAS in Computer Information Systems Security from the University of Denver. Alex is a regular speaker and trainer at events and conferences across the country.
