Jorge Orchilles – Chief Technology Officer at SCYTHE. Instructor, Author, and C2 Matrix Project Lead, SCYTHE
At an early age, Jorge Orchilles was not just playing video games, but looking for ways to push technology boundaries. “I overclocked my CPU and hacked GTA2 for the cars to be faster,” he says.
Jorge started his infosec career in 2001 and today leads the offensive security team at a large, global financial institution. He’s also a certified instructor and course author with SANS teaching SEC560: Network Penetration Testing and Ethical Hacking; SEC504: Hacker Tools, Techniques, Exploits, and Incident Handling; and authoring SEC564: Red Team Exercises & Adversary Emulation.
Jorge serves on the Board of Directors of the South Florida Chapter of the Information Systems Security Association (ISSA), and is a SANS Advisory Board member. He served on the Advisory Board for Intralinks, is a senior member of the ISSA, and a member of the Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP), InfraGard, and the Miami Electronic Crimes Task Force. He also co-authored Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) and A Framework for the Regulatory Use of Penetration Testing in the Financial Services Industry, and author of Microsoft Windows 7 Administrator’s Reference and SANS Security 564: Red Team Exercises & Adversary Emulation.
Jorge speaks English, Spanish, and Portuguese, in decreasing levels of fluency. When he’s not hacking, teaching, or writing, you’ll find him watching and playing soccer.
