Jack Daniel, The Founder of BSides, will be our Keynote speaker on Patch Tuesday, April 14 at 3:00 PM. This will be on GoToWebinar:
Robert Wagner of Splunk Security Engineering will present after Jack. Robert co-founded Hak4Kidz and BurbSecCon.
Jack will address his Shoulders of InfoSec project, stories of foundational figures in our field:
“If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants”
Most famously attributed to Sir Isaac Newton, this quote reflects the sentiment of this project. All of us in the field of information security stand on the shoulders of giants, this project is dedicated to shining a light on those shoulders- the known and unknown. Initially focusing on early contributors to InfoSec, the project will continue to grow with community support.
Jack co-founded BSides. Jack is a director of BSides Las Vegas. Jack speaks at ShmooCon, SOURCE, Defcon, RSA and other events. Jack is a co-host of Security Weekly and Security Voices podcasts.
