Tim has been in the information systems career field for over 30 years. His focus has been in the information security arena for the last 20.
Tim has two advanced degrees and has maintained numerous industry certifications. His information systems-related job titles have included: Programmer/Analyst, Computer Scientist, Software Engineer, Security Engineer, IT Audit Manager and Consultant. Currently, Tim is performing special projects in the Security, Risk and Compliance area. Tim's service has primarily been to the Government (Joint Services and NASA), Oil, Utilities, Medical and Banking industries.
Tim has been a member of ISSA for nearly 20 years. He has served on the board of the South Texas (Houston) ISSA Chapter for 10 years, serving 5 of those years as Treasurer. During this period, the South Texas Chapter was awarded a Chapter of the Year designation. Tim served on the board as Treasurer for the Texas Regional Infrastructure Security Conference (TRISC) for several terms. Last year, Tim served the ISSA National Board as the Chair of the Audit Committee.
Additionally, Tim recently began his third year of a three-year term as a member of the board of the University Baptist Church of Houston Foundation where he has just completed his year as Treasurer and is currently the Investment Chair. In the past, Tim was a Committee Member and Treasurer for a local Cub Scout Pack.
Statement of Goals
My goal would be to perform the responsibilities of the CFO in a timely and thorough manner, including:
Accurately maintaining the books and financial records.
Preparing, with input from Headquarters staff and other Board members, the annual Income and Operating Expense budget and monitoring adherence with the plan.
Ensuring that expenditures are properly approved.
Reviewing monthly reports provided by the management company.
- Following up on all unusual items appearing on these reports with appropriate headquarters staff.
