Increasingly legislation and regulation are becoming extremely important drivers for what information security professionals have to do, and the pace of delivery seems to be increasing wherever you work in the world today. What impacts will recently enabled, pending and possible future legislation and regulation have on organizations and individuals approaches to what and how they do information security? How do we prioritize what is most important? What can we do to make compliance easier? How do we get our policies aligned with the differing regulatory environments across different jurisdictions? How do we deal with export controls (software and information)? In some cases the question might be – How do we stay out of jail? Join our industry experts to get their views and this topic and the questions around it.

Mathieu Gorge is an international authority on IT security, an expert on key legal aspects of corporate security, their laws and frameworks. His company, VigiTrust, designs cloud based educational programs, provides security assessments, credit card security compliance packages and corporate governance solutions. VigiTrust operates in Europe, US and Ireland and services clients including financial services, banking, merchant aggregators, government & health care. Mathieu is a regular speaker at international security conferences across Europe and works closely with the PCI Council, East West Institute and ANSI, ISACA, ISSA, and ENISA.

Joe Tasker
Independent Consultant and Principal, JT Square Strategies; formerly Senior VP and General Counsel, Information Technology Association of America

Joe Tasker is a consultant in Washington, D.C. who concentrates on information technology, international trade, internet governance, and intellectual property. He is a high tech public policy strategist and advocate with a background in the legal profession; he has experience working in both the public and private sectors. Until a recent merger, he served as Senior VP for Government Affairs at ITAA and worked extensively on cyber security issues. For 10 years, he led government affairs for Compaq Computer. He helped found many policy advocacy coalitions formed to solve pressing issues for the information technology industry including: internet access, export controls, and the growth of trade in ICT goods and services.

Gary Moore
Chief Architect of Global Governments, Venafi

Gary is considered a trusted advisor to numerous cabinet agencies within the US Government and has helped them in their development of their PKI architectures, applications and implementation of HSPD-12 plans. In the late 90s Gary was directly involved in the development of the US Federal Bridge CA architecture to further enhance the elements of interoperability in the growing Federal PKI. Gary has served in advisory roles for a large US Government law enforcement based PKI as well as on the international front working with the US Government as an advisor on PKI and Security Governance for US discussions with foreign governments on Critical Infrastructure Protection. Gary's background in network design and security architecture has helped to bridge the gap between theoretical and practical implementations of security in real-life situations.


Allan Wall
- UK, Europe Chapter

Allan Wall has been working within the IT industry for over twenty years, the last seventeen in the field of information security. For the majority of that time, he was responsible for managing a team of IT Risk Management focused pre-sales systems engineers / consultants for Symantec in the UK. After a sabbatical to do a Masters degree he worked as an information security consultant largely focused on delivering CISO-type services for SME’s. He recently joined HP Enterprise Security Services as a Principal Consultant.

A CISSP for 9 years, Allan is a Founder Associate Member of the Institute of Information Security Professionals and a Fellow of the British Computer Society. He has participated on a number of ISSA UK expert panels and he serves on the ISSA UK management team as Director of Academic Liaison.

Allan has a BSc in Biochemistry and Genetics and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Education from Newcastle University (UK), and a Masters in Information Security from Royal Holloway University of London. He appears regularly as a specialist presenter at information security events, and as a workshop facilitator. He is a guest lecturer for the MSc in Information Security at Royal Holloway University of London.
