Geoff was one of the founding members of the UK Chapter in 2003 and has served on the UK Management Team and Board for the last 7 years.
Geoff was the UK Chapter President from 2007 - 2010 and during his tenure grew the membership of the UK chapter to over 400 members.
Geoff previously served as UK Chapter Vice President as well as Sponsorship Director on the UK Board and grew the UK chapter's sponsorship revenue to over $75,000/annum.
The ISSA UK chapter won the ISSA Chapter of the Year award in both 2005 & 2006 and ISSA Communications Programme of the Year award in both 2008 & 2009.
With a background in secure military communications system design, Geoff formed Alderbridge Consulting in 1997 which has provided information security professional services to telecommunications, finance, media, national law enforcement and other UK Government bodies.
Geoff has recently worked on major UK central government projects in roles of Security Accreditation Consultant and Security Architect.
Geoff founded Alderbridge Network Recruitment in 1998, a leading specialist recruitment agency for Information Security Professionals, which now has a candidate base of over 30,000. Alderbridge takes pride in helping individuals to progress their careers in the industry and has helped many leading organisations build their information security teams.
Geoff has presented papers and chaired many Information Security events across Europe including Belgium, Estonia, Denmark, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Sweden, Turkey and throughout the UK. Geoff sits on several UK security advisory boards, all helping to shape and develop the future of information security.
Statement of Goals
If elected on the ISSA International Board, I would seek to apply the successes and experience gained in the UK to help ISSA chapters and their members around the world.
Specific objectives include:

Enhance membership benefits for all members and chapters through sponsors/vendor leverage including additional revenue and free software/tools
Reinstate monthly hard copies of the ISSA Journal on an opt-in basis
Maximise reciprocal membership benefits opportunities with other information security organisations
Deliver the first ISSA International Security Conference in Europe
Strengthen the voice of ISSA internationally and its ability to communicate and influence the evolution of information security for the benefit of society
