Are You Eligible to Vote in the ISSA International Election?

The ISSA International election will be conducted online between June 1 and June 30. In order to qualify to vote, you must be an active member in good standing as of May 31 and have a current email address in your ISSA membership profile. Visit www.issa.org TODAY to review and update your profile. You will need your ISSA ID number and password to log in.

If your membership has or is about to lapse, renew by May 31st to ensure you receive your ballot. (Student and trial members are not eligible to vote.)

You will be choosing an International President and five Directors to lead ISSA for the next two years. Meet the candidates here or on pages 13-22 of the May issue of the ISSA Journal.

Nominations Sought for International Board of Directors

At-Large Members May Be Nominated By Petition


Nominations from chapters and Board members must be received by March 30, 12 Midnight US Pacific Time
Petitions must be received by March 23, 12 Midnight, US Pacific Time
ISSA members in good standing who have responsibility for or active involvement with information systems security or supply information systems security consulting services are being sought for leadership positions on the 2008-2009 ISSA International Board of Directors.
There are three ways a candidate can be nominated:

  1. ISSA members who belong to a chapter should be nominated by their chapter.  See sample statement of support.
  2. At-Large members need to be nominated by petition signed by a minimum of 25 members in good standing.  Petitions must be received no later than March 23, 12 Midnight, US Pacific Time. (download petition here)
  3. Sitting ISSA Board members may submit a nomination. (download nomination form here)

Each nomination must be accompanied by a Statement of Commitment form, photo, biography and the goals the candidate wishes to achieve as a member of the ISSA Board.

Petitions received after midnight on March 23 and nominations received after midnight on March 30 will not be considered.
