Join us on Friday, October 21st at Corizon Health for our October chapter meeting. Chris Barngrover of Micro Focus (NetIQ) will be presenting this month's topic, Defining the Identity of Everything in a Hyper-Connected World.
Speaker: Chris Barngrover, Principal Sales Engineer for Micro Focus
Synopsis: Defining the Identity of Everything in a Hyper-Connected World
The number of devices with which we interact online is about to undergo explosive growth. From smart TVs, to intelligent cars and wearable computers, almost everything around us is going to be online, and communicating. Yet all those devices and interactions must be managed and secured. Every device must ultimately have its own identity. In this presentation, Rick Wagner will discuss some of the changing trends in the field of Identity, and how the Internet of Things will demand a new approach to thinking about what we mean by Identity. Considerations on who owns our identities, how businesses and governments must begin to lay the foundations for a world in which we are constantly surrounded by devices that know who we are (and what we are doing) – in a world where everything has an identity of its own.
