Session Description: Live Interview with Patricia Titus, Vice President and CISO, Freddie Mac
Ms. Titus will share insights and tips for success in our field, and how we can make a difference for ourselves and others. She was profiled in the current SCMagazine edition dedicated to Women in IT Security.
Debbie Christofferson will moderate the interview, as a long time industry veteran, and a current ISSA International Board Director.
Patricia Titus Bio
Patricia Titus is Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer at Freddie Mac in McLean, VA. She is responsible for the protection and integrity of Freddie Mac's information assets while enabling world-class information access.
Ms. Titus is also serves on the Board of Directors for Cyber United. She is working with the Ponemon Institute on the Visual Privacy Advisory Council focusing on Visual Hacking. She writes articles on Information Security and remains on the Editorial Board for InfoSecurity Magazine.
Ms. Titus was the VP and CISO at Symantec, responsible for IT information security risk management, threat response and governance functions. She played a strategic role in protecting Symantec’s IT resources, infrastructure and information assets, as well as driving internal security initiatives.
Earlier, Ms. Titus was VP and CISO for Unisys Corporation, a global information technology company, and formerly the CISO at the Transportation Security Administration within the Department of Homeland Security. She also worked overseas in various positions within the U.S. Department of Defense, the U.S. State Department and private sector firms.
Ms. Titus is an active member in cyber security forums and associations: Serves the Board of Advisors for the Executive Women's Forum (EWF); Recognized as a 'Woman of Influence' by the EWF in 2009 and the Silicon Valley Business Journal in 2013; Serves on the Women’s Advisory Board for the Girl Scouts Council of the Nation’s Capital and mentors young women in the IT field.
