Las Vegas Chapter Meeting - Updating SCADA and Other Industrial Systems Security

Please join us at Treasure Island on Tuesday, July 30th for a discussion on SCADA security. Spend lunch the day before Black Hat socializing and learning with your security counterparts. Worldwide ISSA members are welcome!

SCADA isn’t just in Utilities – it’s all around us – it runs our buildings, our factories and more; and the risks are real and potentially disruptive to the entire business. For example – think about the business impact if the heat came on full blast in a casino in the middle of summer? How about in an office building, warehouse, or factory?

Guest speaker, James Robinson, will share his experiences and insights regarding the challenges and successes in industrial system (SCADA) security in non-Utilities environments.

Date: Tuesday July 30th
Time: 11:45 AM - 1:00 PM
Where: Treasure Island, Las Vegas
Cost (includes lunch and collected at the door, cash only):

Topic Summary: Updating SCADA and Other Industrial Systems Security
Control systems are created with a specific mission in mind and expected to have a long and profitable life. How do we update them without disrupting the availability, integrity and confidentiality they provide? How do we "change the game” at the organizations where these solutions exist? The key is to understand control systems, organizations and the threats facing both. In this presentation, I will explain what worked for me while at Anheuser-Busch and Emerson Electric.
