The Middle TN ISSA chapter and Nashville Technology Council are proud to host InfoSec 2012 on Thursday, September 13 at the Nashville Convention Center in Nashville TN. Now in its 11th year, InfoSec brings technologists and security professionals together for a full day of exciting speakers and networking opportunities.

We are happy to announce the following keynote speakers:

Howard A. Schmidt, Special Assistant to the President and the Cybersecurity Coordinator

Rick Dakin, CEO, Co-Founder and Chief Security Strategist

Scott Borg, Director (CEO) and Chief Economist of the U.S. Cyber Consequences Unit (US-CCU)

This year, InfoSec will include these great keynote speakers, five session tracks and an expanded Capture the Flag competition.

The Nashville InfoSec Capture the Flag competition is a contest designed to test a teams’ knowledge and skill in a variety of areas related to information security, including areas of web application security, cryptography, system exploitation, reverse engineering and network analysis and forensics.

Throughout the game, ten teams of up to four members will probe, attack and solve offensive security challenges using skill, cunning and widely-available free tools. Points are awarded to teams based upon the difficulty of the challenge that was needed to capture that particular flag. Teams will be scored based upon a weighted point system. Points are awarded based upon the level of skill that is needed to capture each particular flag.

Registration is $100 for ISSA, NTC and ISC2 members; group registration discounts are also available. Capture the Flag registration is included in your conference registration. The non-member price is $195.
