The deadline for submitting nominations for 2008 Award Recognition is quickly approaching. Please take the time to look around your chapter and identify someone that deserves recognition. Nominations need to be submitted by your chapter officers, CPAC representatives or an International Board member, but anyone can nominate. If you will just take the time to identify candidates, the Awards Committee will walk you through the process of writing up the nomination. Nomination guidelines are available for download by members (website account required).
We want to make this Awards process successful and rewarding, but we need your help. Please submit names by December 15th, 2008. We need lots of names. Nominations should be sent to Ron Helsley, Chairperson of the Awards Committee, at 2008_Awards@ISSA.org.
As an ISSA member, you have unique knowledge and expertise to share with your colleagues about issues and trends in the industry. The ISSA Journal staff and volunteers are seeking thoughtful, insightful articles that will pique the interest of our readers – information security professionals including C-level executives – and offer practical and timely solutions. All articles are peer-reviewed by the Editorial Advisory Board.
Articles are typically 1,500-3,000 words and should be directed toward an international audience. The ISSA Journal does not accept articles promoting one company, business or piece of software. Topics must be vendor-neutral – describing technologies and trends – not selling a product. Complete guidelines can be found at http://www.issa.org/Downloads/TheISSAJournalGuidelines.pdf
