ISSA/BSA Survey Results
In our ongoing effort to serve information security professionals, the ISSA partnered with the Business Software Alliance and conducted a survey on critical industry issues. The results are being used to tailor content delivered through the ISSA Journal, events and other services to more closely match the needs of our members.

Results Summary
Good news! Our collective efforts to educate users and stress the importance of security procedures across the entire organization are paying off.
- 77% of all respondents report that their ability to defend against major cyber attacks has increased.
- 78% say that they have a formal security program in place – almost all of which are approved by top management.
- 63% of the professionals surveyed said that top management receives periodic updates on security status, and over half said that they have regular information security audits by an outside firm.
