International Board of Directors Election Begins June 22

Annually each of you is provided an opportunity to influence how our organization impacts the information security industry.  You should view this as your responsibility to ensure your expectations are addressed. 

This year you are selecting the association Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, Secretary/Chief Operations Officer and four of the members of the International Board of Directors.   

Not only do I encourage you to vote, I challenge each of you to choose the nominees who best represent your vision for the future of ISSA.  You can do this by carefully reviewing each nominee’s “Goals Statement.”  

I urge you to make your voice heard…Vote and ensure our organization remains a vital and effective force throughout the international technology community.  As an ISSA International Past President, one of my opportunities is to be the Chair of the ISSA Nominating / Election Committee. This year’s committee has provided a slate of nominees which fully represent our international association. It has been a pleasure heading an internationally representative committee.

Update Member Profiles Now for June Election

The election of the International Board of Directors will take place online between June 22 and July 19. Three officers and four directors will be elected.

General, CISO Executive, Lifetime and assigned Corporate and Government Organizational members are eligible to vote. Students are not voting members of the organization. Unassigned organizational memberships may not be voted. Only active members in good standing who have a current email address in their ISSA membership profiles will receive voter credentials.

CLICK HERE to review and update your profile by May 31. If your membership has or is about to lapse, you should renew before May 31 to ensure you receive credentials.

University of Virginia Security Patch Management Survey

The University of Virginia has initiated a survey intended to gather benchmarking information related to the processes and costs associated with security patching activities. Analysis of responses will permit an understanding of how patching varies across business sectors, from company to company within a sector, and between larger and smaller companies. All collected data will be presented only in aggregate and will remain non-attributable and secure. The intent is to expose the results to an audience of government organizations and industrial firms. It is anticipated that the results will be incorporated into a Master's Degree thesis.

Typically the survey takes 15 minutes to complete and in no case more than 20 minutes.
