Volunteers Sought for Election Committee

William Tompkins, CISSP, CBCP, has been appointed by ISSA President Howard A. Schmidt to chair a committee to oversee the election of the 2008-2009 ISSA International Board of Directors. Members in good standing from around the globe are needed to assist with nominations and the election. Interested volunteers should contact Lyn Trainer, ltrainer@issa.org, at ISSA International.

Countdown: January 1 Deadline for ISSA Award Nominations

As the ball begins to drop in Times Square on New Year’s Eve, the ISSA Awards Committee will be on the job accepting last minute nominations for:

  • ISSA Communications Program of the Year
  • ISSA Chapters of the Year
    • Outstanding Chapter with fewer than 100 members
    • Outstanding Chapter with 100-200 members
    • Outstanding Chapter with more than 200 members
  • Outstanding Security Professional of the Year
  • Outstanding Organization of the Year
  • ISSA Honor Roll

Nominations should be submitted on the attached form to Ralph Spencer Poore, Awards Chairman, poorer@issa.org, with a copy to Lyn Trainer, ltrainer@issa.org. Please download the ISSA Award Nomination Template Form. Link to ISSA Awards Policies and Procedures - Member login required.

Ethics Complaint Review Process Updated

The ISSA Board of Directors adopted revisions to the Ethics Complaint Review policies and procedures last month. The new policies are now posted under Member Support Materials, Association Operations Manual Documents on the ISSA website. Member log-in required.
