Membership Types
General Membership
$95.00/year, plus chapter dues (if applicable)
Professionals who have as their primary responsibility information systems security in the private or public sector, or professionals who supply information systems security consulting services to the private or public sector; or IS Auditors, or IS professionals who have as one of their primary responsibilities information systems security in the private or public sector; Educators, attorneys and law enforcement officers having a vested interest in information security; or Professionals with primary responsibility for marketing or supplying security equipment or products. All membership dues are non-refundable.
Multi-year Discounted Memberships for General Members are as follows:
- 2-Year Membership - $185, plus 2 years of chapter dues
- 3-Year Membership - $270, plus 3 years of chapter dues
- 5-Year Membership - $435, plus 5 years of chapter dues
CISO Executive Membership
$995.00/year, plus chapter dues (if applicable)

Corporate Organizational Membership
$115.00/year, plus chapter dues (if applicable)
Private companies may purchase a Corporate Organizational Membership for a specified function being performed by an employee. This membership will belong to the company, not the employee, and will be transferred to another individual as reassignments occur. When unassigned, this class of membership will have all rights and privileges of a General Member except the rights to vote and hold office. If a person is named or assigned to this membership and said person signs and complies with the Code of Ethics, that person will be able to vote and hold office. All membership dues are non-refundable..

- 2-Year Membership - $205, plus 2 years of chapter dues
- 3-Year Membership - $290, plus 3 years of chapter dues
- 5-Year Membership - $455, plus 5 years of chapter dues
Government Organizational Membership
$90.00/year, plus chapter dues (if applicable)
Government agencies may purchase a Government Organizational Membership for a specified function being performed by an employee. This membership will belong to the government agency, not the employee, and will be transferred to another individual as reassignments occur. When unassigned, this class of membership will have all rights and privileges of a General Member except the rights to vote and hold office. If a person is named or assigned to this membership and said person signs and complies with the Code of Ethics, that person will be able to vote and hold office. All membership dues are non-refundable.

- 2-Year Membership - $180, plus 2 years of chapter dues
- 3-Year Membership - $265, plus 3 years of chapter dues
- 5-Year Membership - $430, plus 5 years of chapter dues
Student Membership
$30.00/year, plus chapter dues (if applicable)
Student members are full-time students in an accredited institution of higher learning. This membership class carries the same privileges as that of a General Member except that Student Members may not vote on Association matters or hold an office on the ISSA International Board. There is no restriction against students forming a student chapter. All membership dues are non-refundable.
Trial Membership
FREE, plus chapter dues (if applicable)
ISSA offers a free 90-day trial membership to enable you to acquaint yourself with the Association. This trial membership entitles you to all the benefits offered by the International Association, including receiving copies of the ISSA Magazine, access to the ISSA International web site, and discounts to conferences and training events sponsored by the International Association. If you choose to become a Trial member, your information will be forwarded to the Chapter President of the closest local chapter in your area. You will be contacted by the local chapter and invited to attend the local chapter meetings. This trial membership does not entitle you to any benefits that are sponsored by the local chapter, including discounts to local conferences or educational events. To receive local chapter benefits, you must pay both the international dues and that particular Chapter dues.
During your 90-day FREE Trial, you will receive periodic notices asking you to become an official paid member of the Association. If you would like to continue receiving all of the benefits of an ISSA membership, you should send in your payment at that time. The benefits you receive as a FREE Trial member will be terminated if you have not paid your dues and become a member of the Association before the end of 90 days. All membership dues are non-refundable.
