Dear ISSA Members,
As the voice of the information security professional, the ISSA is committed to the privacy and confidentiality of our members.
In an effort to continue providing maximum value to our members, the ISSA has occasionally collaborated with third parties to promote such things as conferences, training events, or other relevant endeavors. Respecting your privacy, we have always provided the opportunity to Opt-Out of receiving these materials. It is important to note that only postal addresses are provided to any third party, as we do not share email addresses.
In an effort to continue to raise the standard for your privacy and prepare for future regulatory requirements, the ISSA has implemented an Opt-In policy for all member contact information. We understand that some individuals prefer not to have their contact details and other information used for any purpose other than ISSA business. Under Opt-in, the ISSA will therefore default your Mailing List consent to NO and give you the opportunity to change your consent to YES when creating, renewing or changing your profile. The NO default affects only the direct mail messages sent to you by organizations with whom we have shared our mailing list in the past. It does not affect the messages that you have been or might expect to receive from ISSA, such as the ISSA Journal, ISSA E-News, e-mail messages, and special educational materials that we consider might be of interest to you.
For details on our new privacy policy, see the summary and read the whole policy.
To assist us in serving you, we ask that you consider choosing to opt-in for these mailings so that the ISSA can make you aware of other special offers that may be of significant value to you. Please sign on to the web site and go to https://www.issa.org/cgi/update.cgi in order to update the opt-in choice on your member profile. If you have any questions about your membership or the information above, feel free to contact ISSA Headquarters at +1 (206) 299-3366 or at member@issa.org.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Dave Cullinane, CPP, CISSP
President, ISSA
